    Moders for hire of service?

I love a lot of the moded Seiko's and Invicta ( cough cough cough ) 8926's.

Does anyone know of someone who offers the service needed to do a mod? I don't realy want to invest in the equipment.

DIY is half the fun or more in modding those affordables. I'd bet the tool investment would be well under $50.

Whilst I completely agree with you and plan on modding my SKX (hoping to through in a movement upgrade instead of a service next year) in the meantime I would absolutely live it if someone could quickly and confidently swap over the Insert and sapphire for me.

I'd love to be able to carve out time to get it done personally but in the short term - I just really want my watch :)

Where are you located? If you are in Los Angeles area I could help you with those.

In the past I've taken Seikos in to my local watch guy, along with the new parts, and he has charged me for the time involved to make the mod. I'm sure any local watchmaker could do the same for you.

That's likely what I'll do if they can take apart and service my other watches I'm sure they can swap a crystal on my Seiko :)

Reason I would like someone familiar with modding seikos specifically would be so I can talk about what I'm hoping it'll look like in the end and get feedback.

Eg "oh so you're planning to use that bezel with that Insert? in that case let's not buy your crystal from [X] you should pick up the one [y] sells instead"

Kinda like what we all do here on the forums but with the ability to bounce ideas back and forth in person.

As I'm paying in AUD the prices pick up quite quickly (not to mention I can be aesthetically challenged at times) so would be nice to buy the right things.
