I've had my every day timepiece for about 10 years now. It's an old Momentum/St. Moritz SLK digital. This year it finally decided to give up. The display is completely blank and unresponsive. Changing batteries didn't achieve anything. I called Momentum and unfortunately they said that it uses a discontinued Miyota/Citizen module that they don't have any spares of.
I'm not super well versed in watch repair so excuse my ignorance but is there other modules that could be swapped in? Is there some standard in sizing for modules? Or at least is there some watch repair company that works specifically on digitals? I wouldn't even care if the graphics for the button labels are wrong. I'd just hate to give up this watch because there's no other digital watch on the market that's simple and small yet has the benefits of a titanium case and sapphire crystal.
Thanks in advance.
