    Moonphase Function Longines Master Collection?

    Hello,

I recently purchased a Master Collection Moonphase Chronograph watch, and was going over the instructions (which IMHO are minimal) and the instructions state "turn the crown forwards to correct the moonphase after consulting a calendar, which gives the necessary information." Huh?

Ok so can someone explain this? Also what is the purpose of the moonphase? I was thinking that the rotating moonphase indicator was to distinguish between night and day, but now I'm not entirely certain. Observed the watch over the past day and the indicator did not seem to move at all.

    Thanks for all responses.

I think so but will need to give it a few days to see how the moon moves.

Hi, I am crazy about the longines master complication. I just love it. Did you get the ss or gold ? is bulky or not really ? do you have a pic wearing it? I will appreciate your responses since I couldnt find any review on this watch. Thanks!

Some very good information on those links. I had a completely different idea about how those watches worked.
You learn something new everyday so I guess I can just go to bed now
