    Most affordable gold watch?

I just arrived at a realization that my collection is all stainless steel and I prolly need to add some precious metal into the mix. A dressy 40mm or less rose gold on a leather strap would be nice for 2013.

What's the cheapest one out there (non-plated)?

Haha...this question is def outta my knowledge of knowing. Gold and affordable sounds kinda odd together...
I do know vintage Gold watches from many famous brands are about 10K to start. vintage PP Calatrava is about 15K.

    Purchase a Pre-Owned Rolex President 18k Gold 1803 at Bob's Watches

Not saying I recommend them. A price reference for possibility.

    Most affordable gold watch?

I cannot say with accuracy, but I vaguely remember an AD quoting roughly US$10k for a rose gold Ball on a leather strap.

Just wondering if there's a brand more affordable.

I really have nothing against plated watches except for the questionable longevity of the plating. Tag Heuer seems to do a good job with their plated watches though.

    Longines Saint Imier (~$5000)

Official Longines website - Longines Swiss Watchmakers since 1832

    Tissot Oroville (~$3000)

    Sea-gull M201G - price unknown but I'm guessing it'd be cheap

Wether or not you want a solid gold bracelet is also a big factor on the price (something I'm not a huge fan of as I think they are tacky and over-done). Ive seen some pre-owned gold Rolexes, with leather straps, for under $5K, but I must admit this is definitely not an area of my expertise as a gold watch is not something I'm looking to buy in the near future (Maybe in a couple of years on a dress watch).

I'd just suggest going on Chrono24, doing a general search, and for case material plugging in "Gold", then order it by price- lowest to highest, and see what comes up.

Good luck, let us know what you end up with!

But actually, if anyone's read up on this movement... It's amazing! Not a huge fan of the watch esthetiacally, I dont think its ugly but its not that great looking to me. The movement is spectacular though...

If you aren't foreclosed to consideration of a vintage watch, you can find some deals is solid gold; they have gone up exponentially in the past app. 5 years, but are still a value compared to new.

I don't know about the cheapest, but you can get a pretty sweet looking Stowa MO in 18k rose gold for 5,800 EUR. Not bad!
