    Question Mother-of-Pearl dial ...

I wasn't at all sure about mother-of-pearl dials for men's watches, but after seeing this one ... Looking at it a bit more closely, it might be a white enamel dial ... or not? Anyway, I think it's a looker (would have been nicer if it were solid gold 14kt/18kt instead of gold plating).

(from an ebay listing, no affiliation to seller)

I think I'm ready to change my mind

The movement looks like a modification of the GT82 in-house caliber ...

Got my stones busted big time (in jest, mostly) over my Breitling Chrono Cockpit with the MoP dial. I dig that watch so I'll put up with the jokes.

I usually do not like MOP dials, because they usually have too many colors involved but I like RT and this one you're showing is beautiful. Could it be a porcelain dial though. The color seems quite evenly white everywhere?

Nice picture of your Breitling Dennis, I guess some companies managed to do it right.

Yeah, I'm not sure whether it's an enamel/porcelain dial or an MOP one ... perhaps the former. But, it is a very nice looking watch, nonetheless.

The movement was also called the MSR/Revue X3 or Revue 81. Pity they got rid of the cam disc regulator in the modern iteration of the movement (GT81):

This one, I can relate. I use it very often especially at work, but it can take on several meanings depending on the situation. On Friday, I used this expression during a (long) conversation with my corporate overlords, during which it took on the meaning of:
    - Wut.
    - Um. No.
    - Um. Sure!
    - I don't know
    - You see, when you put sugar and Equal in coffee at the same time, it actually quadruples the sweetness. This only works with soy milk, but you wouldn't know anything about that.

Ok I see this can be a bit confusing, so let me give you a few graphical examples:

    ... used in Astrology

    ... used in dairy products

... used in explaining the evolution of tools used by humans

    ... used in cooking

Ok and now I will finish off with one of my fav MOP dials, the yet to be released BaliHai GMT!

dealers and repairmen of musical instruments, especially older instruments, talk of a pearlescent man-made substance once common on the necks of banjos and ukuleles called MOTS, or Mother of Toilet Seat.
