Question Movement in the Eberhard & Co. 8 Jours?

I've seen a stainless steel version of the watch at a very reasonable price, and it has really caught my fancy. I was wondering which movement it uses ... from my search, I have unsubstantiated reports that it is a modified Peseux 7001. Can anyone corroborate if that is true, and if so, is the movement modified enough to consider it truly "in-house"?

E&Co isn´t a German brand so I moved the thread to Public.

Base is a ETA/Peseux 7001, the 8 day mechanism is patented. The watch contains only one 125cm long mainspring barrel.
