Moving up to my next watch. Suggestions and advice please

I am trying to trade up watches until I have a grail. I have come into 1000 dollars recently and I have this oris watch. What kind of price range would I be looking in, what watches would you recommend? I want to trade in my oris and add on the $1000 dollars for the next watch. I like nomos but I also like good chronographs. If any of you were in my situation what would you do? here is my current watch...

I like the Oris, but if you're thinking about "trading in" toward a new purchase, you're probably not gonna get much for it.

Best bet is to do some internet research and try to get a feel for what they're selling for, then offer it as a private sale.

Honestly, for trade-in you're looking at maybe 20-30% of retail, assuming you have box, papers, etc. and you can find a willing dealer...and the watch is in really nice condition, and....

If I were you, I'd keep the Oris (that watch is very cool) and buy a $1000 watch. There are many, many great watches to be had for a grand or less.

What would you buy for $1000? I would be on my way to the foundation of a decent collection.

If I were you I would find a obtainable Grail watch first.
Then you will be able to plan on how much to spend on the next watch.
I am only few months away from reaching my goal. I need to hang in there.

If you plan on "trading in" that Oris, have a good friend kick you in the balls first … that way, the pain you feel from the transaction will be much more tolerable.

I'm not sure I'd do anything. That's quite a nice watch, what don't you like about it?

OK OK! hahaha I won't trade it in (I'm glad you guys like it) but I either want to privately sell it or buy a watch for 1000 dollars. What do you think are some watches that are great bang for back at that $1000 price?

I do like it; I just get bored of watches after having them awhile and move on to new things. I'm leaning towards keeping it and getting a new watch with the $1000 that I came across
