    My day of watches

Today I supported my high school athletic program as a fan. First I went to the girls lacrosse state championship and then I went to see a few students at the state track championships. It was very hot and even though I put on suntan lotion, apparently I didn't rub it close enough to my watch as can be seen in the non watch photo.

Afterwards I took a short drive down to Princeton where Hamilton Jewelers was having a watch event. I tried on a bunch of watches, and the ones that stood out the JLCs, the Ranger, the Breitling Transocean chronograph, the Breitling Day date, and the Sablier, though it has to be the most overpriced micro brand on the market.

The Tudor Pepsi GMT was, to me, absolutely unimpressive. The blue on the bezel very blue gray and drab and the case just really thick.

End of the day with a change to the bronze.

Transocean Chrono is my fav of those. I have looked at ones just like that, or close to it, for a purchase. A pawn shop in my neck of the woods has a limited edition I tried on, they are asking too much for it at $6500.

    What a fun afternoon.

I have a similar watch, too, the Transocean 38. It's both sporty and dressy.

The Tudor Ranger looked best on your wrist.
