    My first project.

I first would like to thank everyone who answered my 'how to' questions, and all of those folks who have posted some 'how to' posts.

Secondly, I have to say, wow. The amount of effort one has to put into building a watch is respectable. And that's with an already built movement. I started with a kit from eBay. Bought different hands, had to hunt down a different date wheel, and bought an ETA 2824 movement.
There was a lot to learn, even with what seemed to be a fairly straight forward process. After the sweat and stress, I am thrilled with the final product. I am definitely not in a rush to start a second project, but my resolve to do more has been bolstered.

    Thanks all,
    And now, the final product:

Nice job! I am a big fan of that compressor kit. Where did you find the correct date-wheel?

Thanks! I hunted everywhere, with no luck. I finally emailed the guy I bought the kit from, and he had a couple of the date wheels. Go figure...
His ebay seller name is watches-mania.
