My first quartz in over 20 years and first titanium ever. Bertucci C-1T

Grandpa instilled the love of automatics early, but much of the 1990’s I had some type of silver bracelet quartz (victorinox?) maybe? that I abused around the globe until it finally failed after a decade of torture and 3 battery changes.

I did stray further with eco and solar after that, but always had Grandpa’s Benrus auto in various states of disrepair.

Thanks to WUS, I was turned on to Bertucci, and found the Bertucci C-1T.

Titanium wasn’t the goal, but a nice looking, simple, reliable watch was....

The case is thicker than I had hoped for, but I will get over that quickly.

The factory leather strap is quite nice and surprisingly fits my 8.25” wrist snug on the 3rd hole with plenty of the end left over to tuck in the keeper.

The strap is measured as 3/4” or 19mm wide on the company website but a 20mm nato still has some wiggle room.

Time will tell how much abuse I can give her...

It's a nice watch - distinctive design. Titanium and tonneau style cases are always a plus.
I'm drawn to their field watches myself - I think they would be great for banging around and not worrying about scuffs and scratches.
If they made some solar models it would be perfect - Bertucci needs to beat the Citizen BM8180-03E (which i think they are perfectly capable of doing).

I don’t know if it’s just a trick of the lighting, but those hands and dial are really interesting to me. Almost looks fake, like a dummy display on a phone! Wear it in good health!

I was just thinking the same thing... this model claims a 5 year battery life, but an eco/solar movement lasting 10+years would be the bees knees...

It does have a strange silk screened quality to it, but it is very nice and readable. I do like it more than the more expensive black face model.

I took the leather off to condition it, so I tried a 22mm seatbelt nato.

It is just barely looking cramped on the lugs.

Titanium & quartz go together like PB&J.

Seiko Spring Drive was my wedding watch, Rolex Datejust was my anniversary watch, but I call Oris home.

Ha! I had to look up that model of Citizen..... and what do you know, I got that one last week!

It’s a fast favorite of mine, and those two will be competing for wrist time... but I think the leather nato of the Bertucci has the Eco beat... but this model is twice the price of the Eco. BUT... the Eco strap was unusable by me, so a few dollars extra there...

I really enjoy the Bertucci watches and have a couple. I have admired the one that the OP purchased though never got one myself. I have to agree that if Bertucci could incorporate a solar movement they would be a better field watch than they already are.
