    My intro -- long overdue

    Hey all -

I've actually been on WUS since around 2006, and have bought and sold many watches in that span. Like many people out there I have always wanted to create my own watch - the designing and production of a mechanical time piece just has always really appealed to me.

Recently, I decided to make it happen, and combined my love of watches and history into the Mercer Watch Company. I hail from Mercer County, NJ - so that part is obvious. What you may not know is that George Washington crossed the Delaware river back in 1776 just a stone's throw from me. Soon after, Brigadeer General Hugh Mercer was killed at the Battle of Princeton, becoming a rallying cry for the Continental army, and our county's (& comapny's) namesake in the process.

Anywhoo - we're currently designing our first piece and are really looking forward to seeing prototypes. I've learned a ton on WUS over the years, so a belated thanks for that. Keep in touch!

Welcome to the gang, I'm sure every one will want to see pics of your prototype.

Hmmm, maybe a continental model, a star for each hr and for the date....no, ha ha, just crazy thinking out loud.

Thanks! Its in the final stages of design and then on to prototype. Hoping to have this one in the bag by Christmas, which may be aggressive, but we'll see.

Good name for a watch. I work at the Mercer that pulled off a fairly major upset last March
