Cool 'my' Laco 1970 television watch

got this watch as sort of a project to teach entire re-conditioning techniques to bring a bit of a beater back to showroomish quality. fortunately it's not quite a beat up, to me, as i expected. am almost always surprised how much toothbrush & paste does for dirty kit

greatly admire the luminescence, but naturally wish it lasted longer

    Attachment 1133564
    decent buckle

    Attachment 1133558
lots of fine scratches all over the polished portions. movement is more accurate than expected

    Attachment 1133566
the crystal/glass has damage ranging from light surface scratches to nicks

    Attachment 1133567
also kind of like survivor looks, but will tidy it up a bit

    Attachment 1133568
my 1st italian design with swiss movement
    Attachment 1133570

    Attachment 1133573

will update thread as i re-condition various areas

(got logged off while trying to post & have no idea where the attatched captures went)

I never realized toothpaste was such a revealing cleaner. That is clearly a unique design from LACO. Are you planning on sending it directly to LACO so they can conduct the OEM refurbishment? I can't imagine any old watchmaker would do it justice outside of the experts at LACO. Best of luck with that LACO.

What can i say.... i almost fall off the chair, "Laughing Atrociously, Chuckles Outrageously". That's my LACO.

...Seriously... perhaps the moderator can assist in shifting away such awkwardness? It's a plain mistake... afterall TS is a new kid in the block.

Post moved from Laco to Public, this Locman is not even close to a Laco.
    Kind regards

didn't see an area for locman, but felt it was a watch worth seeking. my apologies & was not attempt or disrespect towards either brand.

Actually i had done the same kind of mistake before... it's okay... as long as your thread is moved to the correct forum, you'll have less exposure on your mistakes in the wrong forum.
