Here are a few more pics of my bike inspired stand. Much easier taking pics with some daylight.

Great collection and really cool stands. Always been a sucker for the Chopard myself but never pulled the trigger.

Good collection. The Omega and the Sinn definitely caught my eye.

Very cool; I might appropriate your idea for using bike parts and do an "homage" stand of my own (I have a stem or three laying around, as well as some MKS pedals and a top tube protector...).
As to your next watch being a white dial dress piece consider the Seiko "Grand Cocktail on bracelet for about $800, the lineup of Seiko enamel dials (as mentioned before) for $1-1200, and then Longines has a few with their "barleycorn" texture and nice Arabic numbers at $1500.

I have been looking for a nice vintage GS HiBeat on the bay. I need to do a little more research on the whole GS line. As far as making a stand, the hardest part is cutting the stem so the top shelf is parallel to the base. Most of the stems are slightly angled. Make sure you build yourself a jig and save your figures.

Re: My Watch Collection and My Watch Stands

    That's a lovely little collection.
That Sinn is really cool and for some reason I'm really digging that Bulova digital.

Tough for me to make a recommendation as I'm not really a dress watch guy, to me sportier watches like the Aqua Terra or longines heritage column wheel chronos (particularly the camaro case) would qualify as "dress watches". But they're over budget.

I do like the not-so-forum favorite tag heuer Carrera calibre 5, but I prefer the silver face. they're in your price range but based on your tastes I'm guessing your going to go with something vintage anyway.

    thanks for the pics!

    Edited:
Forum glitch that was supposed to be a picture of a carrera, I'll try again
