Narrowed down to 2. Help me pick!

I am new to wus and my eyes have been opened so much in the last few months as a result. I come from a corporate pawn background that often has the attitude "if its not a Rolex it doesn't matter." I have owned a Rolex Milgauass for many years but never really added to my collection because I couldn't afford another one.

Luckily I came across wus and have been exposed to a whole new world of high quality watches that I can actually afford with out taking out a second mortgage.

In the last year or so I have added a Baume Mercier Capeland and an Oris Big Date. It's time to grow again much to the displeasure of the wife.

I have narrowed it down to 2. Glycine Lagunare 1000 le or Fortis B-42 marinemaster. I can pick up either for around 1200-1500 now on eBay.

Function is less a factor then look as I never plan to dive with it lest it be in my pool. We just don't belong in the ocean. That's why we don't have fins.

Any and everyone's input is welcomed and thanks for listening.

By the way. Can someone tell me how to add pics.

Between the 2 I'd pick the Glycine but also have a look at Alpina.

Don't miss the Longines Legend Diver in this price range. Limes and Stowa also make really nice divers in your price range.

Welcome to WUS! Of those two, I like the Glycine better...
I also had trouble posting pictures at first. My advise is to do some research using the WUS Search, since all the info is already here..!

Narrowed down to 2. Help me pick!

Update....the wife has given her blessing for a new addition but wants to pick it out for me for my b-day in April. While I really like both these watches she wants a wider pool to choose from. So we are now open to recommendations in similar styling and price range. New or late model in good condition are acceptable. Pictures appreciated.

    Thanks for all your help.

I think I'll start a new thread to open it up a bit.
