    I don't time mine.

However, with most of my sales listings, I invariably get asked about accuracy by some tire kicker/prospective buyer.

I don't put anything in my listings about accuracy because I usually don't know.

I do know, generally, the accuracy of some of my watches, because I wear them frequently enough to notice. But the ones I'm selling aren't the ones I wear frequently, thus don't get a spot in a winder.

Personally, I think some people obsess about accuracy too much.

I've never put this in an ad, but it's been my answer to questions about how many sec/day a watch is running off. After timing a vintage watch for a day at a buyer's request, finding it was running very accurately, and sending him the info only to have him lowball me, that's my answer.

So, um, are you selling it or not?

Sounds like a good approach to me as it is guaranteed that no matter what accuracy I measure the seller will have different results, probably worse, and demand his money back.

Box and papers. I think the whole box and papers thing has become a bit of a fetish. It started because there are so many fake Rolexes. Now it applies to every watch. Overkill.

Nah. For a collector (like myself) I won’t buy a watch without box and papers. Especially important it the watch is a limited edition or a higher end piece as the boxes actually are expensive if you try and buy just a box
