Need advice on this watch before I purchase it...

    Hey guys,

Newbie here and I'd appreciate all your input on this watch. I love it but I am afraid it will be too big. The watch has like a 48 mm case and while I don't have a roll tape to measure the circumference of my wrist, my wrist is roughly 60 mm in width.

    Here is the watch:

What do you guys think about this watch? Is it a high quality watch? I love the styling and that is the only reason I am putting up with the fact that it doesn't have an automatic movement.

Any ideas for other similar watches? Thanks in advance for your help.

Do you have any other watches and, if so, how do they fit your wrist? If you don't know their case sizes we can probably chime in.

As for this watch, some mixed reviews on this forum have steered me away from Invicta. And, at that price, you can find a nice automatic chronograph, anyway.

I can try and measure my Certina and Fossil watch and get back to you. Any other suggestions as far as watches goes? I'm looking for an al black watch and want a band design like the Invicta I showed you.

What are the issues surrounding Invictas? Reliability or accuracy?

$650 for an Invicta with a quartz movement and mineral crystal...

I have no suggestions, other than to save your money and buy something else.

Are you just looking for an all black watch with a similar band or do you want a chronograph?

As for Invicta, I've never owned one so I'll defer to anybody else who has. I've only avoided them due to hearsay.

Did not own one and never will; you may ask on our Affordable Watches Forum, you may also use our search function. Just type INVICTA.

Re: Need advice on this watch before I purchase it...

Well, it's a nice looking watch. Best way is to measure your wrist. Use a string and a ruler/tape measure etc... My wrist is 7 1/8" and for me, a 46mm case is my max size, but the lugs on some watches curve more and seem to wear smaller. I have one 46mm watch and because of the lug to lug length, it is too big for me and the bracelet doesn't wrap around my wrist well.
As far as that watch, you can find it cheaper. Do a google search under Invicta IN 4575 and you will come up with a bunch of links.
Here's just one I found that is cheaper:

    Hope this helps.
    Cheers,
    Christopher

Someone had a Hamilton X-wind Black PVD for sale in the Sales Forum here a little while back. Just another option.

    Let me re-phrase that:

You would be accurate in assuming there may be reliability issues surrounding Invictas.

For $650 you should be looking at Hamilton, Mido, Tissot, Oris, Steinhart not all the watches from these companies are at or below $650 but there are many to look at.

Understeer is when you hit the wall with your front end. Oversteer is when you hit the wall with your rear end. Horsepower is how hard you hit the wall. Torque is how far you move the wall.
