Need Help: Caravelle Pocket Watch "Base Metal NO"

I came across this fine, working Caravelle Pocket Watch. One the back frame, below the stem it reads: Base Metal NO. What does this mean? Is there value to this watch?

...'base metal' refers to what the case is made of. I believe it's some sort of alloy; there are more knowledgeable folks than myself here who can probably tell you exactly what 'base metal' consists of. Bulova used two-character alphanumeric date (year) codes; the 'N0' is one of these and it represents the year 1970 (the letter represents a decade and the number represents the specific year; I've seen L=195x, M=196x, N=197x, and P=198x). These appear on Bulova, Caravelle, and Accutron watches; I have a 'project' 1971 (N1) Accutron...
