A) Have a new one shipped from a private seller with the IWC warranty for $3150 without trying it on.
B) Buy locally for a 3 month old watch with a jomashop warranty for $2700 w/o the strap, and being able to try it on with my straps.

By your description both watches are used. So you should determine whether either warranty is transferrable to you. Call IWC and Joma.
You can be a ..... and meet him to try on and then buy new from the other guy. Lol
So no local AD carries it anymore?
I would just go to an AD and try the current model and then buy new old stock from the private seller. The bracelet alone is probably worth more than that 3100 vs 2700 spread.

If your worried about the non-transferable Joma warranty find a competent local watchmaker (an actual watchmaker not a mall kiosk guy) and arrange to meet there. Have the watch checked out. The watchmaker will likely charge $20 maybe $40, not a lot for piece of mind.
Go with the IWC warranty. IMO its worth the extra money as its not a big enough difference and the condition appears to be better based on your description.
Given that there is no strap on the gray market one then we're talking about ~$150 difference (maybe less) between a new AD watch vs a used gray market watch? What's the decision here again?
