Need help identifying this watch please.

Hello, I was cleaning my closet and found a watch I purchased some time ago.
It's a 100 Year Disney World numbered watch that includes a flip book as part of the packaging. I have never wore it.
My problem is that I have spent several hours researching to find some information about this watch and I haven't found another photo or post about it.
I don't know who made the watch for Disney, when it was made, is there a model number for it?

It's number 1588 of 2000 and I have included photos as reference. It still has the protective plastic on it and is a bit dusty.
    Thanks in advance.

Looks like they made a few versions of this watch.

Here's a NOS one available on eBay. Slightly different to yours but an indicator of value.

Most likely made by contract maker in Japan.

Because the watch is from Japan chances are good that either Seiko or Citizen manufactured it. The movement or inside of the case back may have some identifying marks. So if you know someone who can open the case without scratching it you may find some identifying information inside. The style plus it's tie to the 100 Years extravaganza indicates a manufacture date of late 1990's up to 2000.

The 100 Years of Magic shows spanned about 2 years and celebrated Walt Disney's 100th birthday in 2001. As with any Disney production a lot of memorabilia was sold. Watches have long had a prominent place in Disney merchandising so for any decade there are plenty to choose from on the resale market.

There are active collectors of Disney memorabilia including watches so you should search out those folks for more information.

    Welcome to WUS!

edit: because the watch is close to 20 years old you should have the battery changed asap.

Thanks for the reply. This makes sense. I haven't found a photo of description probably because there are only 2000 of them. Now that I have it out I have it scheduled for a cleaning and battery replacement.
I will have to search some more for a Disney specific watch collector or group. In the mean time it will go back in it's case after cleaning.

Good deal. Let us know what you learn about the maker, collecting groups, etc. And whether it runs!
