Need information on an old Corum watch

I recently experienced a death in the family and was left with a really nice wrist watch. The brand is Corum, and I have done a fair amount of research online. I haven't been able to find anything like this particular style on any of the websites I have been looking on. The watch is stainless steel and has a silver world map with red dots on the major cities on a dark blue face. It is an aerial view of the world and whole dial spins and has 24 lines that look like they could be correspond with time zones. The clasp is hidden so when the band is closed it looks one continuous band, if anyone has any information on the year or model it would be a great help to us.or any ideas on how we can find out.

First of all. Welcome to Watchuseek and welcome to the Public Forum as well.
Better pics might be helpful, however I can't remember having seen such a Corum.

Send an e-mail to [email protected]. They should now.
    Kind regards
    Mike

    1980's?
Is it possible to take a pic of the movement? Or at least the caseback.\
    Is it mechanical or Quartz?

I have loved Corum watches since the late 1970's (Golden bridge and Admiral's Cup in particular) but can not recall a model or indeed a case design like that.
    Is it Stainless steel?
It has had a hard life, judging from the scratches

And I am quite surprised over the really bad look of the continents.

I wonder if it is a real Corum?

i recently dropped it and it stopped working. It has the word "ACIER" on the back so I think its stainless steel. When it worked still it "rolled like a Rolex" It did not make the traditional ticking noise. My guess of why the continents were shaped like that was because it was a view of the world looking down on the north pole. I thought the extra red hand was a way to tell time in all the different cities it had marked around the world.

Re: Need information on an old Corum watch

You mention that the dial id movable. How do you do that? Separate crown?
Yes, S/s. I missed that info on your initial post.

The sontinents close to the true North Pole should have ben better done, but they are not. I can hardly see Scandinavia, and Island is missing.

As it is broken, then you can remove the caseback and take a pic of the movement, you have nothing to loose!
