    Need a New Work Watch

    Hello everyone!

It took a lot of begging, pleading (the wife), and selling of other watches, but I FINALLY got an Omega Seamaster! Woooo!!!!

I also just got a new job, and I’m not sitting behind a desk as much as I thought I would be. I am looking for a watch to wear to work, and I guess at home too, when I don’t want to risk damaging my Seamaster.

In my line of work, I am in and out of hazmat suits, and frequently washing (and I mean WASHING) my hands, and am occasionally working with machinery.

I am looking for a watch with the following characteristics:

    MUST HAVES
-All metal case, either steel or titanium
-Ability to have a metal band or a NATO strap, and easy to swap the bands
    -Common lug width (20, 22, or 24)
-Durable movement to handle shock, up to and including range time and crawling in the dirt
    -Scratch and shatter resistant crystal
    -At least 10atm eater resistance
    -Good lume or a backlight
    -Under 500 USD
-Commonly found, I don’t have time or patience to special order anything or order from overseas
    -Excellent customer service

    NICE TO HAVE
-Alarm, will be super helpful, but not a deal breaker
-Solar powered or super long lasting battery
-Ana-digi preferred, but will accept either

I looked into G-Shock, but I couldn’t find any that fit my must have list 100%. I also looked into Luminox, but all the models that fit what I’m looking for were 23mm lug width, and I have a hard time finding bands and straps in that size.

I appreciate any help you can provide!

I guess it's my turn, Seiko SKX007/009. Solid, robust, great lume, metal bracelet, 200m WR, Hardlex crystal so not necessarily scratch proof but it is shatter proof

I'd recommend looking at an Omega Seamaster.
I love the smell of carbamide in the morning, it smells like VICTORY.
That ain't a double, I just like to stutter.
Hack a wife's watch, keep her happy for a week, teach her to hack her own watch, keep her happy for life!

I think Seiko pretty much rules the ballpark at your price range for your parameters--lots of options to choose from as well.
