I'd like to purchase a watch to introduce my younger brother to automatic watches. He's currently got a plastic smart-watch that is scratched to hell and I'd like to purchase him something that doesn't require charging every week and is more durable. I'd like to get him a cheaper diver or casual style watch.
Budget: $100 Canadian. Can be stretched for a swiss watch.
Criteria:
1) Not a replica/obscure chinese brand
2) Automatic movement
3) Metal Case (Steel)
4) Water resistant (at least 50m)
5) Sporty/Casual style (basically not dress)
6) Small case size (37-40mm)
I'd like a brand with some degree of pedigree. I was looking at some seiko 5s and orient dive watches but would like a specific recommendation with a seller as I don't know where to find one that isn't marked up to hell (one watch that is $60 on amazon US is $250 on amazon.ca, which is not the conversion).
Thanks!
