Question Need a sporty analog quartz watch!

    Hello WUS,

i am looking for a sporty/conservative quartz analog watch with a date that is water resistant enough to swim with on. I wanted to wear it to work with business casual attire and keep on to take the kids to the beach or do some yard work. Basically a daily beater. I have been using a g shock as a beater but want to get something a little nicer looking.

I have had a Traser p6500 in the past and I don't want another one so that probably leaves Luminox out as well. The marathon watches do not do it for me either.

I was looking to keep the price under $500 if I could.

    Any suggestions would be appreciated.

    thanks.

What are your thoughts on the Bernhardt Field Diver? Well within your budget, looks great, 200m water resistant, sapphire crystal, reliable quartz movement. I have one and it's a solid quartz "beater"! My only gripe with it is the bracelet quality. It's not a bad bracelet, but it isn't exactly a selling point of the watch. It comes in a black finish as well if that's your preference.

Anything Victorinox really, but here's my pick of the litter, the Chrono Classic. Can be had for around $300, 100m WR, chronograph, and it's not gigantic (42mm I believe).

If you're OK with a bigger watch (42.5mm x 11mm - it's fairly slim actually), then I kind of like Tissot V8 chronographs for this sort of thing. 100m WR, usually under $300:

There are a decent number of bracelet, color and dial styles in this line.

I think my cerctiba ds podium listed for sale in the sales forum checks all the boxes, but I'm a little bias on the matter 😊

I have two of these -- they're great. They come in a variety of colours and strap options, so its easy to find something (or several somethings...) that you like.

I'd been looking for something similar, and settled on a Citizen Promaster. $338 from seiyajapan:

The Tissot V8 is a mean watch. Also have a look at their PRS200 & PRC200 ranges.

Check out the MX10, Hawk, and Nato models from Nite Watches. Build like a tank and also good looking.
