    Need suggestions

I’m looking to add a manual winding flieger/field watch to my collection, and could use feedback.

I’d prefer a flieger, but I’m open to unique field watches.

    Requirements;

    -500 to 700 U.S. dollar range.
-new or used is fine, but nothing “vintage”.
-No Hamilton or glycine. I want something I haven’t had.
-40-42mm preferred, but I can wiggle s bit on that.
    -black dial only.
-exhibition case back. I usually don’t care about this, but I’d like it in this case. I’d like to see that movement. Not a must though.
-no Seiko. Just bored with them.
    -no pvd cases.
-prefer 20mm lugs, but I can do 22.

It's a little more than your price range, but WEISS offers some really quality pieces that might meet your needs.

Very nice watches. However, the “los Angeles, California” on the dial absolutely kills it for me.

Archimede comes to mind. Also a bit over budget, but otherwise hits everything.

Junkers has some that satisfy your requirements, including chronos - if you can live with that logo. Both 6524-2 and 6110-2 have Poljot 3133 inside.

OP, you defined the Archimede -- it meets every criterion on the list and fits your budget if you're willing to opt for the small seconds version on leather. But if you prefer the regular three-hander (central seconds) it will only break the budget by $25 ($60 with shipping) at current exchange rates.

I can never get out over the name Junkers. I understand it's roots, but how unfortunate.

How about a Steinhart or a Stowa fleiger?

Steinhart would be my first choice, then Stowa, Laco, and a whole lot of others--used, I would look into one of 3x series Damasko, you may be able to find one at the edge of your upper limit, or maybe $100 over--not quite Fliegers, but definitely in the ballpark, and a little off the beaten track--great value for the money.
