Need suggestions! under 100 dollar watch for a gift

I am looking to buy a watch for my brother in law. He deserves the best but of course I am broke.

Looking to spend 100 dollars or less. Any gems out there that I am not aware of? Thank you

It seems that no other watches can beat Seiko for that price.

Why don't you gift him one of your own - it is far more personal, an emotional gesture. You make him happy, you get to save the 100 bucks and save them towards your next watch? Not to mention how the women in the family will look at "he took it off his wrist and gifted it" - you're gonna be their hero ;)

I have given 3 Orient Mako's over time to my brother, a best friend and a cousin in Ukraine! each one is worn everyday, treasured and appreciated. And these were folks who up till then barely knew automatics existed! One from your stable is also a great gesture. We are all on hard times and that is a gift from the heart.

I like the idea of gifting something from your personal collection. If you'd like to give a brand new piece, definitely agree that the Orient Mako really can't be beat (as far as automatics go) in that price range. Maybe consider a Seiko 5. If your considering rugged quartz, Gshock.

Citizen diver with Miyota automatic movement is very good. Probably only model which can be hand wound in that price range ($50-$100) unless you go Chinese.

If he is pretty big guy, you can get him MM homage (44mm) or for more dressy choice would be Parnis Portuguese Chrono lookalike.
