New Breitling Chronospace auto chrono... A bittersweet choice.

I picked up this new Breitling Chronospace automatic chronograph yesterday afternoon. Tungsten grey face with the mesh band - It's sort of a grail attainment with just about everything I've ever wanted in a higher end chronograph - Weighty stainless steel case, bold & rugged styling and not a model that everyone buys!

However... The down side is following contentious negotiations with the wife leading up to this purchase, I had to pledge to not buy any more watches for a couple of years! I made a previous pact with her a couple of years ago to only buy "less expensive" (not well defined by my wife, of course) watches, But she perceived ("Perception is Reality!") that I was buying too many under $1000 watches. I'm OK with this new agreement - At least the prohibition isn't forever!

It looks nice and cool. I think you did well in the negotiation with your wife :)

I'd be content with that for a couple of years. Get a couple of dozen straps for it if you get bored. Hey, they're technically not watches, and they're cheap.
Guys, I really really really do understand that there was a hack and that my password was reset, but I'm about to take a year off from WUS if you can't stop telling me about it every time I log in. With my password. That you reset.

I think that watches in the price range of $2000-$3000 (gray market/used) tend to look much better than cheaper watches, its merely a design thing (nothing against the movement or quality of the cheaper watches), so to me its a no brainer to have 1 watch thats nicer than the average watch in your collection.
