Size: 1.37 MBFound this today at a flea market for $10, keeps time and is in pretty good shape. Not the origanal strap or crystal, but for ten bucks I'm OK with it. My best guess is that it is from the early 70's. I also think it has been serviced, but it was nasty and took a few hours to get the scunge off. After 8 hours it has gained about 10 seconds. I think I can live with that.

    Neat find.

What the heck are the bezel markings? Does it have a depth gauge or something? 20M, 30M, 35M, 40M seems like an odd combo too.

That is the chapter ring that rotates by way of the second crown. I'm not sure what it's for. I'll post when I find out.

This nice vintage piece was discussed here:

If you don't feel like reading, the markings are for divers to know how long they can stay at a certain depth without decompression.

20 M You can stay at 20 M depth during 45 to 60 minutes without decompression
    30 M You can stay at 30 M depth during 30 to 45 minutes
    35 M You can stay at 35 M depth during 15 to 30 minutes
    40 M You can stay at 40 M depth during 0 to 15 minutes.

Thanks for the imfo, funny thing is the watch is only rated for 100m. That's what I read anyway.

That's plenty since this watch basically is telling you that more than 15 min at 40m you will basically explode.

Pretty much if i go under in a swimming pool my ears are toast, but I love dive watches. They might get wet in the shower or a pool but usually I take them off.
