New guy looking for help in my search.....

Hello and thanks for having me!

I am looking for an automatic watch that tells time ONLY, no other complications.....

My dream is a Rolex Milgauss or Air King but they are a bit out of my budget....

Looking for decent quality at a Seiko price level......any help is appreciated

    Size? Color? Materials?

I think the most easy answer based on your attraction to those models you mention would be the Sinn 556:
    Sinn Uhren: Modellreihe 556

Somewhere in the neighborhood of $1500.

Seiko SARB035 or 033. More than decent for the price.

I’d get a SARB035 or a cocktail time. Pics, in respective order are

They dont really look like either of your grails trails but that’s a good hint. When you get a grail you don’t want it to look like something you already have

Christopher Ward makes an automatic without a date. It's a little under $2,000 USD though, but still a third the price of the Rolex grail.

If you're open to homages, micros might be your best bet. The Explorer has a classic look that some smaller manufacturers have been inspired by.

If I may, what about the Explorer appeals to you? That might help us in a search. Are there specific elements you like or prefer besides the lack of date complication?

If you can find one gently used, these got high marks when they came out:

    (Not my photo!)

NTH also has one called the Antilles that is a no-date.

And Laco makes a smaller no-date.

Maybe a Hamilton if you're looking to keep it under $1,000?

You might want to consider a Tudor Black Bay 36 (or 41). It's still pricey, but less than half the cost of a Milgaus or Air King. I see them for sale here on the forums occasionally around the $2K mark. I think they are gorgeous.

Try looking at Nomos - the Club Automat is automatic without the date and is water resistant to boot

Some great watches mentioned so far but they have a date complication which you donít want. We donít know your budget?

I would recommend the Tudor black bay as mentioned above if itís within budget. The seikos and sinn 556 mentioned are quality pieces representing great value but as Iíve said they have a date function
