I'm a real noob at this watch stuff. I only have 3 watches and they were gifts or were purchased new by me when I was a kid.
1) Casio W-750 marlin which I still have but lost the band somewhere along the line. This was a birthday gift when I was about 9 years old.
2) G-shock DW5800 I bought in Heathrow airport in the 80's I can't remember how much I paid for it but it was a lot for a kid on vacation at that time. Am looking for a new band online but am very wary of cheap imitations and don't know of a reputable dealer. I have the wire guard somewhere in my box of nostalgia which I haven't seen for a while. Once it became silver from being scratched I didn't like the look anymore so I took it off.
3) Aston Martin circa 1985. The photographer who took the commercial pictures of these watches was given 2 of them which he passed on to my family. My sister and I each got one. Never seen any documentation about it nor seen any others. It's only been worn 2 times; at my high school graduation and at my wedding. I was always afraid of scratching it.
I wore the Gshock up to about 10 years ago when the band broke. I had worn it almost everyday from purchase up to that point. definitely my favourite of the three. I have trouble finding info about this watch but know it is not the Japan A version but rather the more common Japan H version.
so thats all I got. I don't plan on purchasing any more watches (for now...) but rather replacing the bands on the Casios. If anyone has any tips for me please let me know.
