    New member starting a collection

Hello! I recently turned 24 and have been thinking that I'd really like a nice timepiece that would last me a long time. So for Christmas I ordered myself a Tissot PRC200 with the black face and yellow hands + a Hirsch Golfer band to go with it. I haven't received it yet, but am already planning to add to the collection with a Citizen Nighthawk. I've really become fascinated with watches and am amazed at the fine detail that's in something so small!
Would someone be able to tell me what tools I'll need to change the strap on the Tissot? Can't wait to start my collection!

You simply need a spring bar tool like this:

Amazon.com: Watch Band Spring Bar Tool: Watches

Actually, if you are careful you can easily change the strap with a sharp knife as a spring bar tool, but the above tool makes it easier and you are less likely to damage the lugs. I would recommend spending a few more dollars and getting a basic watch tool kit. This will allow you to do other basics, such as size bracelets and change batteries yourself. I bought this cheap version here.

Welcome to the forum and good luck starting your collection. You have picked two classic pieces to start with.

    Kind Regards,
    Nick
