New Montblanc Twin MoonPhase - Really Nice!

I'm a fan and owner of a Montblanc and I think this is an elegant and ultimately well priced new addition to the Montblanc watch lineup...........

    It's a good looking watch, very Breguet-y.

A little large for the design. I think it'd be much nicer in a 38mm case.

All in all, a classy dress watch for those with mammoth sized wrists.

42mm, is not really mammoth these days. And MB watches don't wear overly large. Mine is 42mm and it wears smaller than some of my other 42mm pieces.

Well, I don't know if that falls under my definition of a dress watch. The layout is nice enough, but the hours, minutes, and seconds hands all seem to be a bit too short for the case. Especially with all of those sub-seconds tics going around the dial. What exactly is the point of that if the seconds hand can't even reach them. I like the direction in which Montblanc Watches has been going as of late, but this piece just doesn't do it for me.

I agree, 42mm isn't considered a mammoth these days, but (IMHO), to pull off a 42mm watch that has a dressy design you would need to have fairly large wrists.

Lug length does play a more key role in how large or small a watch will wear, rather than its diameter. Typically, a watch (like this Twin Moon Phase) that has straight lugs will wear large for its size. If I had to guess, I would say this watch has a lug length of somewhere between 52 and 54mm. If I am correct, it'd wear larger than an 42mm Omega Planet Ocean which has a lug length of about 48mm.

Anyway, just my opinion (and you know what they say about opinions…). I like the design, I just feel that I wouldn't be able to sport it well. Thanks for posting it, Rod! :)
