Oris released two dive watches with gorgeous blue dials, both of which are produced in partnership with ocean conservation organizations.
The first of these is the Oris Great Barrier Reef Limited Edition III, my favorite of the two.
This great looking Oris is 43.5mm is created as a collaboration with the Reef Restoration Foundation, and its blue color is obviously reminiscent of the water that surrounds these reefs. 2,000 will be made, and this one is expected to cost $2,550.
The second of these watches is the slightly smaller 39.55 Clean Ocean, also limited to 2,000 pieces. This watch is a collaboration with the Pacific Garbage Screening, an organization that develops plastic recovery technology to prevent ocean pollution. Interestingly, some of this recycled plastic forms the case back of the watch, which comes off looking a bit like abstract art.
This one is expected to cost $2,300. Both should be arriving this June.
Update: Some early photos from Baselworld 2019. Many more to come.
