    New 'Ray Mears' Titanium Eco-Drive

Considering the popularity of the original, i'm blown away that nobody on here has seen this new re-release. Odd that it isn't on Citizen's website and is only on a handul of online stores like Beaverbrooks and John Lewis (probably why it hasn't been noticed). The main diffierince between this and the original is that this has 300m water resistance and the chapter ring seems slightly larger (although this could just be me).

    Here are the Specs:

    Brand
    Citizen
    Manufacturer's Warranty
    5 year
    Material
    Titanium, Sapphire Crystal
    Model name / number
    BN0118-04E
    Movement
    Eco-Drive
    Shape
    Round
    Strap Colour
    Grey
    Strap Material
    Kevlar/Fabric
    Strap Style
    Band
    Watch Face Colour
    Black
    Watch type
    Classic/ Field
    Water Resistant
    300m/30ATM

Punch the model number into google and you should get back about 4 websites that are currently selling it- the earliest being added on the 12th May.

It's a very old model - started being offered in 2010, so it's probably discontinued now. Anybody offering new ones are probably NOS. Why does the back of the watch say "Base Titanium"? Does that mean just the back cover? Cuz it looks like the case is mostly stainless steel to me. In fact, one website says stainless steel case.

As you can see there is no case back as it’s is mono-case, the entire case is one solid piece of titanium, it’s just polished on the sides for cosmetic purposes. I believe that is the Ernest Jones listing that says it’s stainless, they just gave the wrong specs. There was a model similar to this a few years back like you said but not the same as this; plus if you type in BN0118-04E which is the model number of this, there are no results on any forums at all including the whole of watchuseek so it is a new model. Looks like it is only limited release to certain suppliers in the UK hence why there is no mention of it so far. Thanks for the reply.

Well call me a little frustrated. It does look like the BN0118-04E is some kind of oddball release only available in a couple of UK shops. Judging from the serial number above (that I can just barely make out) it looks like that watch was made in February of this year so that begs the question, What is exactly going on here?

That’s actually a cool piece, haven’t seen a monoblock Ti before. What is the price/measurements?

Looks like it's the same as the Montbell watch BN0121-00E without the Montbell advertising on the watch face. So 40mm and about £299.

One of the obvious differences to me is the case finish which is a bit fancier than the original which had a uniform dull blasted finish.

I know it aids legibility and such, but the jumbo markers make it look a little like a watch designed for octogenarians.

    Excellent but small 38.5mm
    Lume could be better
Kevlar strap will hopefully become more pliable.
    Seems very well made
