New Watch to Commemorate Becoming a Firefighter

I haven't asked the WuS community for watch advice in a while, but I am really torn on this one. I recently interviewed to be a firefighter in my hometown here in Michigan and, if accepted, want to commemorate the event with a new timepiece. I have narrowed it down the 3 VERY different models that I feel are deserving of the occasion, but can't decide on which one. Please provide your choice and input on what you would do.

First up is the Zenith El Primero Stratos Flyback Limited Edition Pole2Pole

Next on the list is the Marathon GSAR in anthracite

And lastly there is the Ball Watch Volcano (open to other Ball models)

That Zenith is in another league and would easily be my pick

I'd go with the Ball -- the Zenith can/could commemorate another occasion

    Zenith first, Marathon second.

Putting this here which you likely already know....

Zenith is limited to 500 pieces and is $8,900. Also is 45.5mm
Marathon is around $1k and 42mm
    Ball is 45mm for $3-4k

The Zenith is another ball park, out of my price range, and a bit much design wise. I have a TSAR and it's awesome. It's about as big as I can comfortably go for everyday use and when it comes time to do anything really mobile, I don't enjoy wearing it. I've always wanted a Ball and I really like this design, but at 45mm and no diver bezel it will have the largest dial and possibly wear the largest of the 3.

IMO the Marathon looks like it's made for a fireman. Understanding that this may not be the watch you wear TO work, but with the Marathon you could. The Ball you COULD, slightly out of place IMO. The Zenith would just look awkward.

I'll add...the Marathon bezel inserts suck. I'm missing and have repainted 10 or so of my markers, and they continue to fall out and come off.

Marathon and Ball tie for #1. Zenith is pretty baller but somehow doesn't fit well IMO.

Thank you for bringing up the retail prices on the models I suggested. I will add that I am purchasing second-hand, so the prices are significantly less than retail. I am, also, not accounting for price as long as any choice is under my allotted budget.

As for the Ball, I also feel that 45mm is a bit large, so I am also considering the Green Berets model.

Gotcha, most of the time a 10x range in price is extensive. So as far as "value" goes, that's still to take into consideration. Second hand makes sense though.

The Green Beret looks awesome. I would also check out the Night Train DLC. Something about dauphine hands on the Volcano screams "dressy" to me.

Beat me to it with the Sinn. Is there really any other choice for a fireman!

I've loved this since it came out and I am not particularly a Sinn fan.
