    Next watch?

    Hi all

This is my first post on WUS.
Looking for some opinions from the forum on what would be most peoples watch of choice to add to my fledgling collection.

Both of the watches photographed are staying as they hold significant sentimental value (one a gift and one worn on my wedding day)...also, I like them 🙂

I have a pretty casual style both in work and at weekends so no need for a true dress watch.

I’m in no rush to secure the next but like the idea of having a target and 3 on fairly equal rotation. I can’t see myself breaking 8-10k for the 3rd watch.

I have never owned a Rolex so was leaning towards one...an Explorer 1

    What do you think?

An Explorer would be a fantastic choice for all around wear. It also would be more dress versatile and potentially cover you a little better for semiformal occasions.

Thanks, that did cross my mind.
I tried a 214270 for the first time last week and really liked it.

I think it flies under the radar a little better than a Sub or a GMT which I like.

I wouldn’t mind a left field suggestion if anyone has one?

Ignore left field and go for the square hit with the Explorer 1. I just had a conversation with my buddies that I easily consider it my grail watch ... and it's neither hard to attain nor the priciest one I own.

Thanks @Hamstur, so something like this would tick enough boxes and keep me content?
What do you rotate with your explorer 1?

Not exactly left field but if you think Rolex might be too obvious a choice and want something a little different, I'd look at JLC or Zenith ...

I'd like to see something other than a black dial. Maybe a Rolez OP or datejust in blue?

    Re: Next watch?

Great collection so far! I also have a Speedy, and really like the Mark series. However, aside from Bracelet/Leather, I think your IWC and an EXP I are sort of similar. You might consider something like a silver-stick Datejust with the smooth bezel on an oyster bracelet, sort of hits the sporty boxes of the EXP, but is a little dressier and has a different dial color for some variety — Same with an oyster perpetual.

Also, you might consider a 5-digit EXP II polar, or GMT, as they are less flashy than the current 6-digit versions.

    Good luck!

    Re: Next watch?

I have been saying this for a couple of years now. I would like my next watch to be an Omega Ploprof.

The only good thing about not getting it yet is that there is a bigger variety of models and colors now.
