Question No logo No brand name on dial

Do you think the watch loses value if there is no logo nor brandname on it?

e.g. Rolex issue a watch in 2 version, one with the logo/brandname and the other version doesn't, would it affects your appreciation to the watch?

How would u feel if you wear a watch without logo and brandname?

My usual watch is a MKII whose only branding is a small logo that replace the 30-minute mark between the 6 and the flange that nobody could possibly see without holding the watch still for a few seconds to focus on it, so I'm in favor of sterility in watches.

That said, the Cellini looks wrong without some branding on it. I wouldn't mind a bit if Rolex just put the crown logo with no text on a watch, but Cellini is already pretty restrained.

If we're getting rid of text, I'd rather keep the Rolex and lose the Swiss Made. Nobody's really wondering where a Rolex was made.

I think it would look best with just a crown logo (no text) half way between center and the 12 marker. I prefer most watches this way. Just the company logo or the company text (if that is the logo) and nothing else. I don't need remined of its features.

Given the option of the two pictured, I would take the watch without branding. No question.

A sterile dial me wouldn't bother me at all. In fact I quite like it on the Cellini.

I personally like the sterile dial, but I'd prefer it with just "Rolex" and the crown on the dial, no "Cellini".

I think it depends on the brand. Part of the appeal of Rolex for many is the branding, and they wouldn't buy the watch if it had a sterile dial. However, if its a brand like Parnis or something like that, I'd actually prefer the sterile dial over the one with the logo.
