Confused Nomos Orion Weiss - worth it?

I love the design of this watch, I saw one in flesh, and the build quality looks superb as well. However all in all, is this watch worth it at ~$2200 (new)?

I can't shake the feeling that I could get:
    1. A vintage Omega Seamaster or Junghans Max Bill
    2. Stowa Flieger
    3. Hamilton Khaki Auto

    for the same money.

What do you say, is Nomos worth buying over those 3 watches?

I personally really like Nomos. Classic, minimalist style, Glasshute manufacture (from what I understand, most of the parts have to be made in the same town or facility for them to bear the Glasshute name). And the price is just right after discount.

However, it depends on what you'll be using it for and what your other watches are. If it's for smart casual to dressed-up occasions, then look no further. I wouldn't go swimming with it tho.

    From Nomos' website:

I currently have a Orion Anthracite. One of the simplest and most elegant watches in the world IMO. I don't think there is an equivalent at that price point. The next step up is the JLC Master Control Ultra Thin series which is 3x as expensive. (Some might put a plug in for the Zenith Heritage line, but I'd skip it for the better Nomos'.)

That said, I don't know what your current collection looks like. if you don't have a sport/daily watch, I'd go for the Stowa Flieger and vintage Seamaster. If you decide to step up to new models, you should be able sell either without a huge hit.

    $2200???????? Someone's taking the mick:

    Nomos Orion

    Should be about $1500.

I think it's the perfect dress watch. If you agree, then accept no substitute. If you don't, save your pennies for something else.

I like the Nomos, but also the Seamaster and the Junghans.
Just go with your gut feeling.

I own Nomos Club Datum and it is one of the best watches that I have (and that I had ).
Real manufacture movement+built quality+holds a good price when second hand+everybody have swiss wathes-this is German etc

Price in Nomos store says that this watch costs cca $1600 brand new

Here you can see Orion weiß stainless steel back | Beautiful watches purchased online. Directly from NOMOS Glashutte/SA.

Thanks for the VAT comment, I didn't realize that.
I'm actually looking for Orion Weiss Date, simply due to its larger site. THat's why it's pricier. Isn't the original Orion Weiss too small at 35 mm?
