Non-Diver w/ 150m+ Water Resistance, Screw Down Crown & Super Comfortable Bracelet?

More and more I'm feeling like there is a place in my collection for something along the lines of a watch like Omega's Aqua Terra or Railmaster, Rolex's Explorer or IWC's Ingenieur--something that goes even better with dressier clothes than a dive watch but something that can also hold it's own at the pool or beach for swimming, snorkeling or shallow recreational diving.

I find all of the watches mentioned to be beautiful pieces but don't want to spend *quite* that much since it's only going to be for more occasional wear.

What watches out there fit the bill at a slightly lower price point, somewhere in the $500-2000 range?

    My criteria are:

    • 150m water resistance minimum
    • Screw down crown
    • No external rotating bezel (no rotating external or rotating internal are okay)
    • 39-43mm or so, nothing too small or too big
    • Extremely comfortable bracelet
    • Stainless steel or titanium
    • Sapphire crystal preferred
    • Prefer no large arabic or Roman numerals (small like Aqua Terra is okay), I like the cleaner look

Thanks a ton for any help guys!

Longines Legend Diver is a classic in the style you ask about.

Definitely go for Sinn 556. I regretted letting my first one go so I recently picked up another.

Eterna Kontiki's come in under budget. Very nice all-around, and they meet all of your criteria. A number of different dial colors and options as well. Sinn 856 is a little larger than the 556 at 40mm, although it does have more pronounced arabics. Stowa TO2 is another option (really like this one) if you wanted to put it on a Staib mesh bracelet. I think that would be top choice.

Most of the offerings from Ball meet your criteria. I would check out the Trainmaster or Engineer Master II collections. The bracelet is amazingly comfortable and many come with a leather deployment strap for a change of pace.

Here's mine, although I'm not sure you're interested in a pilot.....

The Sinn 556 is *almost* there for me. I just wish there was a little more finishing detail on the case--especially at that price point--and I also am not fond of how the hands black out near the middle of the dial. Would love for it to be 40mm as well.

I do need to look into Ball. I seem to remember seeing one I thought looked great a while back but can't recall the model.
