It has been years (OK, actually decades) since I’ve done any diving, and when I did, I never owned a dive watch. Dive watches are obviously extremely popular, but millions of people wearing them never use them for the original purpose. So if you are not setting your bezel to track dive time, when do you set it?
I have one type of situation where I’ll set it … and my wife doesn’t love me for it. It’s those situations where I begrudgingly go someplace with her I’d rather not be – furniture stores, the church social etc. – and while she could stay there for hours, I’m running out of oxygen in 45-60 minutes. Bezel set just before the plunge. Still married, although I realize this could be topic 4 or 5 (oh, there are others!) of a marriage counseling session.
What do you use your diver to measure if not dive time?
