November is becoming quite a month. (aka: Incoming!)

It seems there's a pattern to luck. February through May are steady months, then we have Christmas in July, and November seems to be another good month for vintage watches and related items.

These two came in the mail today:

    A SS IWC buckle

and a '74 Grand Seiko (thanks Rich!) which is going directly to the watchmaker for a touch-up so it can be added to the rotation immediately.

Earlier this month, I was lucky to grab two nice Longines:

    A '46 caliber 23M

and an early 60's Admiral caliber 34x.

Even picked up a few straps from Scott at Times of Plenty, plus another 12 watch case from Doug at Custom Case Design.

But the coup de grace is this long-time 'most wanted' JLC - a caliber 825 Memovox.

I'll be picking it up in a week, and then it's also going immediately to the watchmaker and getting a nice strap for occasional wear.

Not a bad month, you know? There's a modern watch due in December also - and it's a dive watch!!! If things go well, there will be a KILLER addition just after Christmas too.

Great additions to your fantastic collection!

I'm planning to get both my El Primeros looked at by a local watchmaker who's supposed to be pretty good, so that might set me back by a bit ...

Nothing incoming for now, but I have my eye on a particular IWC
    Collection:
A few of this and some of the other ...

Haha, we are CLEARLY at different places in life. Young, and having just gotten married, I can hardly afford some base Seikos and a G-Shock. Someday.......MAYBE someday!

Congrats on some beautiful additions. I especially like the Grand Seiko and the JLC. Very classy indeed.

That's some handsome JLC you picked up, I am generally not a fan of vintage watch but I would definitely wear that! Congrats on your multiple acquisition.

Thanks V. Servicing a chronograph does get expensive. Good luck tracking down your IWC. The rose gold ribbon lug caliber 89 just moved into the #1 slot on my Most Wanted list.

Thank G. Yes, I am old with no kids so there's some discretionary income to play with.

Thanks. I think there might be a few guys into larger dive watches who might like this particular Memovox, especially the SS version. The case and twin crowns have a supercompressor look, and it's over 37 mm in diameter (mostly dial) so it's much larger than the average vintage watch.

    Wasn't that tuxedos?

No, this one matches one of my swim suits. And it's made by the only manufacturer I've ever bought a modern dive watch from. Hmmmm, that gives me an idea......
