And now my SeaGull 1963 is within COSC!!!

I had my 1963 regulated by a professional watchmaker on a time grapher.

Now it runs 3 seconds fast every 24h!

    Could not be happier!

How about your 1963? What is your experience with it in therms of accuracy?

It's 3 days that I own it, it runs less than a second faster after 50+ hours.

I own a seagull 1963, the one with the red star, 21 zuan and only one row of ideograms under the hands.

Mine is about +8 seconds. Although since it's a manual and is in rotation along w 15 other watches - usually I only wear it for a day at a time, so haven't focused on accuracy too much. Perhaps if I travel to China, I'll wear it for entire vacation

So it maintains this over 15 days, in five different positions, three different temperatures, within the various rates?

I bet it's the same way my Seiko 5 is COSC. After 2 weeks it's still almost dead on, with serious babying to place it in just the right position.

It's kind of a Tamagotchi-COSC where you tell the watch the time and then baby it to get there, instead of the other way around.

(Either way though, it's still nice to hear that they're quite accurate.)

Jesus, why am I still buying watches to the Swiss? My new Mido Multifort (ETA 2836) runs 15 seconds faster every day...

After 2 attempts by watchmaker had my 1963 adjusted to 7 day average of +1s/24h.
    It's worth trying.

I put £100 on the table that your movement will not pass the COSC test after 15 days of COSC testing protocol regime. Google is your friend and it will tell you what the COSC test signifies.

Do you really think the daily average rate is the COSC test?

    Bruno,
please tell us how it's running after 2 weeks.

I love that. I'm going to borrow it from time to time.
