Ok, what's the deal with Tendence Watches?

    ..................................................

    Hello everyone,

So what is the deal with Tendence Watches? Say, their Swiss Made series. Some of them are actually priced at $1000 USD - not the silly MSRP pricing, the actual price...

So I'm thinking that they must have actual clientele for this stuff. Turns out I ended up with one of those Swiss Made pieces by Tendence: the Anadigit Black. And I absolutely do not want it... I thought cutting a few hundreds of the price would make for a quick sell but it appears it doesn't gather interest AT ALL.

My question is then two fold:

    a) What's the deal with Tendence (in terms of watch making)...

    b) Where do the Tendence affectionados hang at? So that I could sell this piece...

    Thanks for your time!

Oh well… they're sold by Watchismo, with plentiful fluffy hype to match…

Swiss Watches have never been this cool! These designs have brought watchmaking to new heights (literally).

A blend of form & function, the new Tendence collections are a highly evolved & original concept - extreme dimensions never before seen in a wristwatch - the 3D digits are sculpted high above the concave dial and built into multi-material casings of stainless steel or titanium.

Based in Lugano Switzerland, Tendence designs have an unique, contemporary dimension, which emerges from the complementary fusion of innovation, style and audacious design. Created using a wealth of craftsmanship expertise, avant-garde technology and exquisite materials, a captivating array of watches are formed - featuring bold tri-dimensional design, size and special material combinations, the epitome of Tendence.
These are highly distinguishable timepieces with a unique contemporary dimension, which emerges from the complementary fusion of innovation, style and audacious design.

Oh look, another overpriced fashion watch brand.

Reminds me of Stuhrling, Croton, and Hamilton (yes, you read that right).

Just another brand for me to ignore.

How is Hamilton possibly overpriced? Find a cheaper chrono with a 7750 in.

MOST of the newer Hamiltons use cases (and possibly bracelets) made from China. Not sure about the movement, though.
IMHO, they are charging too much for something they manufacture cheaply.
Same thing with the newer lower-end Tissots.

I assume that most "Swiss made" watches have components made in China what with the requirement being only 60% of the value (which is hard to define anyway) being from Switzerland. The movements in Hamiltons are the same that are found in Tissots, Longines and TAGs, for a fraction of the cost of the latter. There are other considerations of course, but Hamilton make comparatively good value Swiss watches.

@François: je me suis dit la même chose!

    Thanks for your inputs.

So then I understand that there are no Tendence Watch affectionados on these fora! Nevertheless, At what price should I bring down this watch if I want it to sell and do you know of any forum where it would be considered more favorably??

    Thanks again!
