    Olive Green Straps - Dressy?

I have been thinking about getting one of these cool leather olive green straps (think Hamilton Frogman, if that strap were leather).

Are such watch formal enough to wear to work with a suit? Is the olive green colour wearable? Has anyone pulled it off with a suit? I would love to see any pics of an olive strap of any sort under a cuffed shirt.

PLEASE tell me if olive green has no place near a business suit.

    Thanks all.

Would you wear green shoes or a belt with a business suit? If so, then an olive green strap might be appropriate. Might. But when I think olive, I think military.
Brown, dark red, blue, black... definitely.

You can wear whatever you want. Personally, I would not wear an olive green leather strap with a suit. I usually wear a black or brown strap with a suit.

You could match it with an olive green tie. Yeah, I can be daring like that ...

Don't have an olive green leather strap for any of my watches though, guess it would go alright with a white/silver/cream dial watch.

    NO!!!!!!

Unless you are wearing military garb, olive green is not dressy! And even then black is better.

    Thanks to those that responded.

I thought that was the case, but I wanted to see if there was some way it could look good (i.e. similar tie).

There is no chance I'd wear an olive belt or shoes, so I guess olive might not be appropriate at the office.

The environment I work in is extremely conservative and I suspect I'd be mocked roundly if I someone looked at my wrist.

I think I'll pick up the strap anyway and just wear it on weekends. Maybe even break it out on casual Friday and see what people think at happy hour.

LOL Dude, I am about the last guy on the planet to make fashion recommendations and even I know that olive green accessories don't work with a suit. At best you go tan and look like a package.
