My answer is yes but, I must ask what might you be comparing it with?

It is, at minimum, a "good" watch and in the opinion of many (including me) an "excellent" watch. Do you have more specific questions?

for a mid range luxury diver, it's an excellent watch. keeps great time. classic good looks, yet modern. good wrist presence.

According to your Omega forum post, you've already ordered one... why this now?

PS I think POs are great watches destined to be future classics, FWIW. I plan to have one in my collection someday. I hope yours exceeds your expectations.

    Cheers,

Is the Rolex Sub a "good watch?" Of course it is. The Planet Ocean is, in many ways, a kind of modern Sub. It isn't just a good watch, it's a GREAT watch. It's arguably one of the most elegantly designed and versatile non-boutique watches out there today. I love mine more than any other piece in my collection. It's a beauty and it keeps time to within 1/2 second per day.

Appreciate the input. I always wanted a TAG. I have never had a watch of this caliber and am buying it for my 60th. Given my budget amount and after research and consideration, I ordered a 42mm Planet Ocean last Thursday. I expect delivered tomorrow.

Regardless of the amount of thought I put into this given the large number of different manufacturers and models out there, it was difficult to make a final decision. Even though I tried A PO on a number of times, I am anxious to see it on my wrist.

Having handled and tried it out yes it is a good watch BUT I cannot justify the price. Check out the 2010 Winter Olympics edition with the red bezel and the white dial...oh why oh why did I not buy it!
