    Omega Service... Sigh

Well I just received my SMP 2531.80 back from Omega's service center. It was the first ever service this watch has and I wanted to do it right so I paid the $550 and sent it on it's way. The band and polish job came back immaculate however I have just noticed that the minute had has three small, although perceptible, scratches at the tip near the luminous. It clearly happened during the service as this was the first time the watch was ever disassembled and in the 2 odd years I owned it I never noticed and since I got it back I noticed them on day 3. I just contacted the Jeweler I sent it through to see what my options are but I am dreading losing it for another month or two.

These scratches are now driving me nuts so they will have to be fixed Anyone ever had this happen?

Edit: sorry for the lack of photos but my macro skills are terrible

That's a shame!! Unfortunately these things happen! How old is the watch, because if it's out of warranty I would visit a local watchmaker! Maybe the jeweler would even be willing to pay it.

That's Omega service for you! Sucks for you though, more time away from your watch.

Servicing higher end watches is like servicing Italian cars.....have lots of cash and patience.

Your small scratches issues should be an easy fix by a good jeweler.

They'll fix it, and pick up shipping both ways. Just tell them.

Sucks, but they will make it right. I've been thought it with them before.

Presumably the watch wasn't new when he got it.
