    Omega vs Anonimo

I have a Ploprof that I love, but always told myself I would buy a ANONIMO DINO ZEI SAN MARCO if I ever found one. Well....I found one. Since I can only have one $5500 watch, which should it be???

For me the ploprof is way too big. The San Marco is a gorgeous watch and it's produced in limited quantity so I'd go with that.

    Watchbreath: "Apple v Gooseberries"

If someone only has the intention of purchasing 1 of 2 watches, it's a valid comparison no matter how different the watches are. I vote Ploprof, it's serious looking and iconic diving watch, the Anonimo looks like an overpriced fashion watch.

Sure wish there was pics posted of both watches so I could tell one from the other.

    Re: Omega vs Anonimo

I'm a fan of both and wear my PO daily. As mentioned above, this comparo is for two totally different watches with different capabilities. A more sound comparison would be the new 44mm Aqua Terra GMT.

In this case, the San Marco for being just plain cool and having some pretty cool complications.

However, if you were actually going to be diving with it regularly, I think any sane person would have to pick the Ploprof because it is the right tool for the job...

As far as the fashion watch comment, I would use the "Bruno" test based on what character he played. If he were a wannabe frooty diver, he'd wear the Ploprof. If he played a faux Military wannabe, he'd wear the San Marco. They are both tool watches, but can be fashionable lol!

Now personal preferences aside lol, I'd bet any of us would wear both if given the chance. Omega certainly has an epic brand name and quality of manufacter overall that can be matched by only a very few watch houses in the world. Whereas the Anonimo is a pretty well made watch that chooses to avoid the mainstream as part of it's DNA.
