    Which one is *less* wrong?

I'm a traditionalist when it comes to the "right" pairing of bezels and bracelets for Rolex Datejusts. The right combo is either a fluted bezel with a Jubiliee bracelet or a smooth bezel with the Oyster bracelet. Anything else just looks weird...

However, I may have to make a compromise because a dealer is willing to give me a break on a DJ41 with a rhodium dial with one of these non-traditional combos: a smooth bezel with a Jubilee bracelet or a fluted one with an Oyster.

To your eyes, which one looks better?

Since we're talking about the rhodium dial, I'm leaning towards the smooth bezel (grey is more casual to my eyes and a smooth bezel - closest to the dial - seems more consistent with that vibe) but am open to be convinced that I should focus more on the bracelet, since an Oyster is more in line stylistically with the grey and makes up a more visible/greater portion of the watch...

    Thanks!

When it comes to the DJ it has to be fluted bezel. The bracelet is secondary to the way the fluted catches and reflects the light.

Definitely fluted, particularly if it’s a white gold bezel. The light bounces off of it perfectly and is a real eye pleaser.

Completely agree with you about the "correct" combinations. I think in general I more strongly prefer the Oyster over Jubilee. I could live with either a fluted or smooth bezel. For that reason, for me the easy choice would be fluted on oyster. Fluted definitely shines more and would be more "blingy", so I understand if that's not your thing.

I actually really like the smooth bezel on jubilee bracelet. Although if I was getting a DJ I would probably go fluted/jubilee.

I've been thinking the same thing as I look at Datejusts. I've been looking at the fluted bezel with oyster. That gets my vote
