    One in one out...advice needed

So contemplating my next purchase. Stumbled across the brand Louis Erard yesterday when looking for a hand wound watch. I'm really taken by this watch, but want to maintain my collection at 5 so for this to come in, one must go. One is definitely going, as I want a hand wound watch, my question for my knowledgeable brethren on this forum is this L.E watch worth saying goodbye to my Christopher Ward C11 msl Vintage for? If not, any other hand wound suggestions. I'm looking to spend up to £500. It's going to be my golfing watch (hence my desire for hand wound) so can't have a big crown, and needs to look sporty enough on the course, but smart enough for the clubhouse.

    The contender:

    On the chopping block:

I'd make the move. A handwinding Stowa Flieger might work as well...

Wow, two completely different looks! The contender is more casually elegant, less like a tool watch than your Ward. but still suitable for casual. I don't know anything about the brand, but if that's what you're looking for, you seem to be on the right track. Maybe some LE owners will pipe up about their experiences.

Here's something I do when I'm not sure if a watch is worth flipping something in my collection for - I bring the new piece in, and see what the verdict is after an appropriate amount of time. You could try the same, and get rid of the watch you find yourself wanting the least.

Sorry but I would dump that CW regardless, honestly not one of their more attractive offerings.

In regards to that LE, that would be a nice replacement, I'd go for it.

I'd say it's a lateral move. A Louis Erard will probably be harder to unload than the CW so I would make sure you love it before you buy.

No comparison, IMO. The ChW is way too military-looking (and too much a Panerai wannabe for my taste), while the Erard is elegant but still sporty enough for the links. Go for it.

i believe this is the correct answer. Works on the course and off it. Sporty but still smart looking and frankly, probably higher quality then the other two. Stowa makes some great offerings.

Dump the CW that one is not my cup of tea. The Louis Erard though is restrained but a lot more dressy.
