Which one would you buy ?

    Hi guys,

I'm in a big dilemma. I want to by a quality, reliable, very accurate Swiss quartz Chronograph watch and cannot decide between the two (in fact I've bought the Tissot a few days ago, I didn’t wear it and I can still change it) :

Tissot PRC100, gray dial Quartz Chronograph (about 350 USD):

    http://www.tissot.ch/?mod_collection/colid_0002/famid_0056/subid_0127/refid_T22_1_686_31/action_select

and Longines Lungo Mare, white dial Quartz Chronograph (about 750 USD):

I wonder which one is more accurate and reliable (I am looking for long running) and if it is worth to pay as much as 750 USD on a quartz watch.

Your opinion will be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you,

    Johnaeus

Both aren´t considered to be "high-end-quartz"-watches so their durability will be quite similar. I´d go for the Tissot.

I'm not sure about the price /quality ratio of the Longines watches. Are they really worth the price.

If you are worried about reliabilty buy two Tissots and pocket the $50.00.

I'd bet that the reliability is similar so one Tissot should suffice.

Tissot gets my vote. Longines seem a little overpriced.

    I would get the Tissot.

I wouldn't pay $750+ for a quartz watch. At that price you could find yourself a nice automatic.

I agree with everyone. The Tissot is the better bargain. It'll be built just as well as the Longines, possibly better.

Plus, you're talking quartz. Today, even a $20 bargain-bin watch with a quartz movement will be accurate.

Go look at the Ball Fireman Chrono. Great watch. A little more money but worth it.

    Thanks guys,

I think I'll stay with the Tissot as I find it a bit hard to pay more than double for the Longines.

Regarding Ball watches, I did not know this make. I took a look but they look like more expensive (but definitely very beautiful watches).
