Only 1 Country of origin...Germany or Switzerland?

So if you had to choose one country from which you source your entire collection, which would it be...Germany or Switzerland? NOTE: a German firm using a Swiss movement (or Japanese movement, for that matter) is one I count as German for this question.

I'm not including Japan because Germany and Switzerland are mostly apples-to-apples comparisons, but that's not true for the Japanese makers.

EDIT...hey it worked. My first poll post.

I'd go German. There can be some trouble finding the right size...41 and 42 mm seem more common than 40...but IMO they hit the points I like more often and better.

I feel like the Swiss would just have more variety. Maybe I'm just not familiar with all the German brands. I do think the German brands offer more for the price, however, if limited to just one for my lifetime I think I'd have to go with the Swiss still.

Just asking myself if I would rather have a Damasko, Sinn, GO, and ALS.... or a Omega, Rolex, AP, and PP (not to mention Zenith, Blancpain, Vacheron, etc.)

Hmm lets see the German brands that I like are Damasko, to a lesser degree Sinn and Archimede whereas the swiss ones that I like are Oris, Omega, IWC, Zenith, Longines, Tag Heuer, Tudor. So if I have to pick one for my whole collection, it would be watches from Switzerland due to having a more variety of choices and more brands to choose from.

I'll have to go with this even though there are some very interesting German watches that I'm attracted to. Unfortunately their brands tend to be smaller and hard to find in ADs. Wherever possible I like to try my watches on before commiting to buy, especially when the prices get higher.

The Swiss flag is a big plus, but I'll take my watches from the same country that gave us 99Luftballoons.

I'll go with IWC. Swiss company located in the "Germanic" section of the country, founded by an American.
